job description

Main Purpose of the Job:  

Team Leader

Manage administrator’s portfolio of employee benefit funds including interface with client, company, administrators, member take-on, member activity administration and member exit.

Main Responsibilities of the Job:

Ensure that administrators correctly administer their funds

Sign off Summary sheets per fund per administrator

Ensure that Risk premiums are balanced and paid

Ensure quality of all claims processed and authorise timeously

Verify and authorise over and underpayments

Authorise home loan payment requests

Checking audit data provided to fund accounting

Assist staff in dealing with difficult clients and underperforming service providers / insurers

Ensure effective and successful resolutioN

Keep track of tracing, contacting unclaimed members 

Coach and assist staff to capitalise on their strengths

Manage process and ensuring process efficiency

Increase productivity and quality through creating a healthy work environment within the team

  • Matric

*Skills:

  • Passed Matric/ Grade 12 

  • COP (advantageous)

  • Excellent computer literacy (intermediate Excel)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Minimum 5-7 years Employee Benefits experience

  • Not suitable for a “clock watcher
